«DONMET» high-flow manifold flashback arrestors are designed to protect equipment that consumes oxygen or combustible gas up to 450 m³/h.
It is guarantees safe operation and protection of gas pipelines, gas manifolds, monoblocs, gas generating stations from flashbacks.
Manufactured according to ISO 5175-87.
Prevention of flashbacks occurs due to flame separation and temperature reduction in the pores of the flame arrestor (FA) — a stainless steel flame retardant element with a porosity of no more than 40 μm, which prevents flame ignition behind the flame retardant element. A gas non-return valve (NV) is also installed in the flashback arrestor, which allows oxygen to flow in only one direction and prevents the penetration of other gases into the pipeline or manifolds system, cylinders or receivers from the consumer side.
All the flashback arrestors are 100% tested for backflow, leak proof and flame.
In November 2021 flashback arrestors successfully passed tests at the largest metallurgical plant of PJSC “Zaporizhstal” in Europe during scarfing metal with a DONMET 503-17 cutting torch with an oxygen consumption of 300 m³/h.
